DESCRIPTION: BVS PRO-SET CaCl is an accelerating admixture for use in concrete, Portland Cement and mortar. BVS PRO-SET CaCl is a ready to use liquid, added directly to the gauging water to reduce the water requirements and set times of concrete and mortar mixes. BVS PRO-SET CaCl increases the early high and ultimate strength, improves workability and improves wear resistance properties. Through the use of exclusive rust preventive additives, BVS PRO-SET CaCl reduces chloride ion corrosion of reinforcing steel.

MASONRY: BVS PRO-SET CaCl reduces water requirements to achieve desired slump by as much as 15%. BVS PRO-SET CaCl will enhance the effect of air Entraining agents. Add BVS PRO-SET CaCl directly to the gauging water, NEVER TO THE DRY CEMENT.

CONCRETE: Add BVS PRO-SET CaCl with water and proper agitation to ready mix concrete, do not dispense onto dry cement. When air temperatures are below 50°F (10°C), follow "Recommended Practice For Cold Weather Concrete" of the American Concrete Institute. BVS PRO-SET CaCl reduces water requirements to achieve desired slump by as much as 15%. Air entrained concrete mixes containing BVS PRO-SET CaCl display improved efficiency. When using air entrained cement, a patch test is required to determine level of air entrainment required.

* Dosage of BVS PRO-SET CaCl per cubic yard of concrete is based upon a standard mix of 564 pounds of cement per cubic yard of concrete. Standard dosage is 16 ounces of BVS PRO-SET CaCl per hundred weight (CWT) of cement. This dosage can be adjusted to as high as 32 ounces per CWT of cement for low temperatures.

When temperatures are below 25°F for long durations where cement is being placed, supplemental heat is required as per the recommendations of the American Concrete Institute.

When working with limed mortars in equal proportions to the cement, double the amount of BVS PRO-SET CaCl required.

Check BVS PRO-SET CaCl on a small amount of specialty mortars before use.

When temperatures are below 25°F for long durations where cement is being placed, supplemental heat is required as per the recommendations of the American Concrete Institute.

When using on cement mixed on the job site from bags, calculate the ration based on anticipated yield of mixed in cubic yards. For example, if mixing 1/2 cubic yard of cement above 25°F, .75 gallons of BVS PRO-SET CaCl should be added to the gauging water. The gauging water should be reduced 10-15% to achieve desired slump.

When using BVS PRO-SET CaCl, exposed metal should first be coated with BVS VISTA-CLEAR VOC to prevent corrosion. (Temperature limitations apply to the application of BVS VISTA-CLEAR VOC, check directions before use)

PACKAGING: BVS PRO-SET CaCl is available is 55 gallon drums, 5 gallon pails and 1 gallon containers.

SHELF LIFE: BVS PRO-SET CaCl if properly stored in its sealed container, one year. Rotate your stock.
